Great presentatin at NJASL! Can you post the name of the bindery you use to re-cover your paperbacks?

A simple idea we're adding:
We'd love to have slatboard on our non-fiction endcaps, but it just isn't in the budget. We've been rearranging books, spreading them out and weeding, which leaves us room on most shelves. So, we've starting turning a book face out on each shelf, if there is room. We're picking interesting titles from each shelf section. I'm discovering great books I didn't even know we had. I'm sure I'll see these books checking out now that they are more likely to catch the eye.

This is for our non-fiction titles.

I started a new program to get teachers across the curriculum involved in promoting reading: Reading Role Models. Each teacher who volunteers completes an online interview form that asks about their reading habits and preferences. I turn that data into a Q&A style interview and list of recommended books. I also create a display of the teacher's book recommendations in the library and make bookmarks featuring the teacher's photo. In addition, I place a link to the teacher's interview on my library home page. You can see an example at: http://www.nhvweb.net/nhhs/MediaCenter/books/ReadingRoleModel/Angeline-interview.pdf

So far, 20 teachers and 3 board members have volunteered to be Role Models. At that rate, I have enough role models to feature two a month through the end of the next school year.
